It is worth the drive to Lowell and Morrison to see this magnificent mural of Cesar Chavez. A hero to me and so many others in Denver. Councilman Lopez and others deserve credit for this beautiful and striking work of art.

Little Man Ice Cream

Little Man Ice Cream has great ice cream and is a mainstay of our Community. They are always there when events such as the Highlands Fourth of July Parade needs a sponsor.

Guzman this beautiful church built in the depression continues to provide essential services to our Community. Sabor Latino

I've lived in Senate District 34 for 30 years. It is an amazing place and the more I walk and knock on doors the more I appreciate its diversity, its sense of pride and community.

PrideFest Parade

The Annual PrideFest Parade is always a fun and memorable day. This year I, myself, look back with Pride on how much great work we have done in Colorado and the role I played in it. We added sexual orientation to the hate crimes law, we made it illegal to discriminate on the basis of sexual orientation in employment or in public accommodations, we passed landmark legislation on domestic partnerships. In 2002, when I first ran for the State House, I said "I will stand with the Gay and Lesbian Community." This is a promise I have very proudly kept every time on every issue.
