My dynamic plan to build a better future for Colorado, and a better future for our children, and our children's children:
Jobs, Jobs, and More Jobs - We have to build an economy that values the good paying jobs that build communities and a better future. It won’t be easy, but Colorado has always risen to tough challenges and we will again. By comprehensively improving our roads and expanding mass transit we will create jobs that will sustain our future as a great state.- Access to Health Care for Every Citizen - Expanding access to health care will do more than anything else to create a strong and stable economy. No one in Colorado should be going bankrupt because of health care bills. A patient and their doctor should make decisions about health care, not an insurance company bureaucrat.
Keep our Schools Strong - I want Colorado schools to lead the world in education. Step one is showing our kids why they need to stay in school and graduate. We must have safe, quality schools in every neighborhood. Jobs follow education. I want every child who succeeds in school to have a place in college. Education is our children’s future.- Protecting our Environment - I’m proud to have stood up to the big oil companies and other special interests. In the Senate, I will fight them just as hard.

A Real Democrat for Colorado State Senate
Sometimes, we progressive Democrats don't pay as much attention to local races as we
should. However, what your State Senator does will impact what kind of state we
have and what kind of future we build. My vision is to have a state that provides
decent health care for all, that protects consumers and expands civil rights for all of
our citizens.
We don't get this by electing Democrats who decide by putting a finger
in the air to see which way the wind is blowing. We get this by electing legislators with the vision to build and the guts to stand up to lobbyists and special interests.
I list accomplishment after progressive accomplishment:
Promoted Renewable Energy - Created thousands of jobs while building a new renewable-energy based economy.
Stood Up to Big Oil & Polluters - Protected our environment with tough new laws to defend our land and water, and made sure powerful corporate interests paid their fair share of taxes.
Improved our Roads - Led successful efforts to improve our roads and infrastructure providing thousands of good paying jobs.
Expanded Health Care - Created access to health insurance for thousands of our children and increased access to prenatal care.
Stood Up for Consumers - Fough the big insurance companies to make sure that they do right by Colorado consumers.
I don't thump my chest and seek out attention. What I do is the hard work that gets results for people. These past few weeks my time has been consumed closing corporate tax loopholes that create no jobs but take money away from services for the poor, the elderly, and the weakest amongst us.
